He is currently a designer and art director at The Washington Post, where he designs primarily for the features sections of the paper—including Style, Books, Sunday Arts, Weekend, and Travel. He studied journalism and Asian American studies at Northwestern University.
His personal practice combines film photography and design, interrogating themes of belonging, home, identity, race, and queerness. He is interested in examining his experience growing up queer and Asian in the Midwest through images of tenderness and warmth.
